Change Proposals and Staff Consultation
ANU is committed to keeping staff informed and engaged by providing timely, clear and accessible information to help our staff prepare for and participate in change.
This page provides the timeline for and release of formal change proposals from June 2025, along with a summary of anticipated organisational change activity. These change proposals have been formed under the .
The table below contains formal Change Proposals for each business area, as they are published, with a link for staff to provide feedback and a recording of each Change Proposal Town Hall. This page will be updated regularly to reflect key milestones, decisions and the release of formal change proposals as planning continues. 
We recognise that change can be challenging and support is available.
Staff can access free support and counselling through the which can be reached on 1800 808 374. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

All feedback received by staff during the consultation period will be carefully considered, synthesised and played back to staff with the release of the Implementation Plan.

Q2 2025 – Expected Change Proposals
Subject to approval, the following areas are anticipating releasing formal organisational change proposals in June 2025:
- Academic Portfolio
- Research and Innovation Portfolio
- ANU College of Science and Medicine
- ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences
Q3 2025 - Areas contemplating change
The following areas will be considering their need for organisational change activity in Q3. This includes examining how any proposed changes may interface with, or have consequences for, formal change processes scheduled for release from June 2025, as outlined above.
Consideration of change may not lead to formal change proposals in every case. Updates will be provided as planning progresses, VSS outcomes are confirmed and as areas determine if they have a need for formal change.

Q4 2025 - Conclusion of 2025 proposals
In line with the University's commitment to deliver this phase of change, it is anticipated that no organisational change proposals will be released beyond 31 October 2025 for the 2025 year.
It is not known at this stage if formal organisational change will be required in 2026.
