CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Nominations are now being invited from eligible candidates for election to the ANU Academic Board for the following categories:
- 4 members of the College Executive Committees, who are not College Deans, elected by the members of the College Executive Committees;.
- 3 members of the academic staff of each ANU College elected by the members of the academic staff of that College; and
- 2 members of the professional staff elected by the members of the professional staff.
For the purpose of this election, eligible members of staff are people who, on 26 February 2026, were paid a salary by the University and satisfy the definitions for these different election categories specified under s16-18 of the and s11-13 of the .
Each nomination must be made in writing by two members of staff qualified to vote in the category (apart from the candidate) and must contain the written consent of the candidate to the nomination. Nomination forms are available from the link on this page.
In addition, to enable candidate details to be made available to the electorate via the web, nominations should include a Biographical Statement from the candidate (no more than 200 words) and a recent photograph.
Nominations should be should be emailed to returning.officer@anu.edu.au, along with the requested supporting material, by 5:00pm Friday 27 March 2026.
If there are more nominations than vacancies in a category, an online ballot will be held, with all eligible staff given the opportunity to vote.
Information Session
An information session for prospective candidates will be held via Zoom on Monday 23 March at 3pm. The Zoom link will be provided to interested candidates on request by emailing returning.officer@anu.edu.au.
