On Campus - Students

On Campus is the University's flagship student newsletter.

It provides ANU students with timely and important information, including essential operational updates, opportunities for training, funding and programs, as well as stories, activities and events from across the University, that capture the campus experience of our community.

Beginning in mid-March 2026, On Campus will be published on its new weekly publication day of Thursday, complementing a separate all-student email from the Interim Vice-Chancellor. This ensures a balanced flow of information throughout the week while maintaining our newsletter's focus on key information and community stories.

We welcome submissions of:

  • important information that is essential to working or studying at ANU. These items appear in the 'the rundown' section at the top of the newsletter each week
  • professional training, development, funding, scholarship and other opportunities
  • surveys/consultation and feedback requests
  • stories of interest to the broad ANU community, including research announcements and achievements, news and profile pieces
  • internal events such as workshops and information sessions
  • other items relevant to staff

Submitted stories should be:

  • easy to read and concise, written for a general student audience
  • brief, focusing on the key message or update
  • relevant, engaging and of interest to the broad ANU community
  • accompanied by links to additional resources, further information, or a clear call to action (e.g. register, apply, read more)
